Strategic Estates Advisor - London Estates Delivery Unit x2

Greater London Authority

Central London

£57,471 per annum

Ref: GLA/LEDU/SEA

Influence the transformation of London’s NHS estate, while supporting wider public sector goals, such as affordable housing.

This is a unique opportunity to support city-wide changes that will create a new future for London’s health and social care estate. The NHS is London’s largest landowner, with a combined estate around three times greater than Hyde Park. But with large areas currently not fit-for-purpose, the estate needs significant transformation.

That is where an experienced estates professional with an excellent track record of leading significant property and estates developments, like yourself, comes in. You will bring professional, strategic and delivery expertise to the London Estates Delivery Unit (LEDU).

The LEDU is made up of a body of estates and associated organisations operating as a single unit through in-house and partner arrangements hosted by the GLA and jointly funded by London partners. The LEDU aims to support the five London Strategic Transformation Partnerships (STP’s) to deliver on their respective strategic estate priorities, by providing access to expert resource at the appropriate time and also a point of escalation to resolve issues at pace.  You will act as a key operational interface with devolution partners and liaise with STPs, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS providers and Local Authorities on strategic estate matters.

Your portfolio will be broad and ambitious. It spans both health and care, and wider mixed-use development projects, plus surplus estate disposals. As well as supporting the maintenance and development of excellent health and care facilities across the capital, you will be instrumental in enabling wider public sector objectives including new affordable homes.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share. We will also consider reduced hours arrangements (minimum 32 hours per week).

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.

If you have a question about the role or the recruitment process then please contact a member of the recruitment team via email on glajobs@london.gov.uk quoting reference GLA/LEDU/SEA.
