Job Details

Deverell Smith are looking for an experienced building manager in the Manchester area to join a leading commercial property management company. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a challenge and long term progression.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times. Day to day duties will involve supporting the management of service delivery in the north/north west region, responsible for 18 - 24 sites, ranging from office, retail and industrial. Other duties will include -

  • To manage buildings within the assigned portfolio
  • To assist the Senior Management Team in meeting the operational
  • requirements of the FM Team
  • To provide the highest level of service standards to client and building
  • tenants
  • To monitor contractor/supplier performance, ensuring PPM works and
  • reactive maintenance is carried out in line with company policies and
  • procedures, reporting to contracts manager as required
  • Draft and monitor service charge budgets
  • Understand expenditure allocation and ensure invoices are correctly
  • apportioned to each property
  • Working closely with fellow FM's to drive for improved standards and
  • efficiencies.
  • Regular tenant/occupier liaison
  • Organise and attend tenant forum meetings
  • Monitor all on site staff and address issues as required
  • Health, Safety, Environmental management and compliance at all
  • sites.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in a simiular environment and the below skills -

  • Ability to work on own initiative, effective time management and
  • organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of communicating at all levels
  • Effective PC skills - proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Nebosh preferable, IOSH minimum
  • Good M&E knowledge
  • Must have a driving licence
  • Knowledge and/or use of Meridian, Yardi and CAFM would be
  • beneficial.

    the business
