Associate Director Quantity Surveyor

Peace Recruitment are working with a successful Scottish based surveying practice, supporting their search for an experienced and professional Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to join their bustling Edinburgh office. This position should considered by an Associate Director looking for a fresh challenge, or even a Senior QS with a strong market presence, looking to take their first step to Associate level.

This opportunity will allow you to work with and lead a team of knowledgeable Quantity Surveyors, giving them the necessary support while simultaneously learning from them and developing your own skills in a management role. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Partners, contributing to the progression of the business as a whole. A sound strategy for Business Development is desirable, for which you will be rewarded by a bonus scheme that is in place, allowing you to control your earnings.

What is required from you?

• MRICS with considerable post-chartered experience in a PQS firm
• Ability to formulate and execute a Business Development strategy
• Competent in using Excel based systems
• Ability to work to often demanding deadlines
• An understanding of the Risk/VE processes
• Experience and understanding of standard construction contracts, particularly SBCC.
