Hays are working on behalf of a local construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This practice offer Quantity Surveying and Project Management services throughout Northern Ireland and the wider UK. The team of 8 experienced surveyors are working on a mix of leisure, commercial, residential and healthcare projects up to £60M for a range of clients including local developers and Belfast city council.

Your new role
Working alongside and reporting into the managing director, you will have responsibility for the cost management of projects, producing bills of quantities, estimating and cost planning. You will be involved with full pre and post contract quantity surveying, attending site meetings and design briefings, alongside preparing interim valuations and site measurement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you should possess: A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying; 5 - 10 years' experience working as a PQS; MRICS status or working towards this; Strong ability to produce bills of quantities; Ability to manage project budgets effectively; Excellent client facing skills; Strong organisational capabilities; Strong communication skills both written & verbal.
