Assets Surveyor required by a public body based in Ballymena on an ongoing temporary contract basis

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a public body based in Ballymena, to recruit an Assets Surveyor on an ongoing temporary contract basis. You will carry out a range of professional property asset management services including dealing with general enquiries as required to assist the delivery of operational services.

Your new role
Reporting to the Assets Manager, your main duties will include:

Handling the day to day management of the organisations property portfolio including handling lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings and wayleave agreements;
Compile and maintain data on the organisations asset register and property asset management system; Analyse property data including the operational costs and receipts from the organisations properties comparing performance against benchmarks/ KPIs;
Liaise with the Legal Services Department in relation to property matters including title issues, lettings, lease renewals, wayleaves, developments, disposals and acquisitions.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must satisfy the following essential criteria:

Possess a third level qualification with 2 years' experience in Estate Management of large mixed use property portfolios, OR;
If you do not possess a third level qualification, you should have 4 years' experience in Estate Management (as above).

Experience should include at least two of the following:

Handling lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposals;
Management of a Property Asset Management database;
Implementation of asset management strategies.
