Estates and Valuation Manager
A management opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Valuations team at a local authority, the team provides property services across the Council dealing with acquisitions, disposals, rent review, lease renewal, management and valuations of land and property owned and leased by the Council.
You will be responsible for the management and motivation of the Estates and Valuation team, you will also manage and supervise the Council's diverse commercial property portfolio. In addition, you'll advise on the implementation of the Council's new commercial property investment strategy and residential investment / development strategies.
The successful candidate will need to write and present reports at a high level and participate in partnership initiatives, building good working relationships with a range of external organisations and bodies, including Town and Parish Councils, real estate agents, developers and others.
Experience in general practice, commercial and residential property with ability to work within a corporate property environment is essential. Ideally you'll have excellent managerial, communication, negotiation and influencing skills; will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be a member of the RICS with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience and 3 years management experience.
