Ealing is a vibrant Borough encompassing a wealth of retail, office, industrial and residential buildings. We have recently been appointed as the Building Control Body on large multi-use complex developments such as Filmworks, Southall Waterside, and Portal West, Ealing’s tallest residential development. This variety poses a challenge to the skills of the building control professional but also offers the opportunity to expand and develop new skills while still delivering a first-class service.  

We are seeking to appoint an experienced project surveyor who meets the criteria of a grade 13. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed surveyor to work within a busy team of Building Control Surveyors. The surveyor must possess excellent communication skills and pro-active problem-solving abilities. 

As a project surveyor you must be one of the following:

MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB, MICE, MIStructE or equivalent with relevant experience in building control

You will be required to have a full working knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated legislation. You would also be part of the Council out of hours Dangerous Structures Team. 

You should be able to work under your own initiative, be able to manage a varied workload and communicate in a friendly and professional manner.

You will benefit from a competitive package including a 35-hour working week, generous holiday entitlement up to 30-days and flexible leave/working arrangement.

You will need to provide and maintain your own vehicle for use on official Council business and in return will be eligible for a casual car user allowance.
