Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS background)

THE ROLE

I am now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of multi disciplinary construction consultants in Southampton, Hampshire.

You will need to have around two years or more post graduation experience and either be working towards becoming chartered or recently chartered with the RICS.

You will need to be able to look after your own projects.

Our client seeks someone to work on a range of projects including large commercial developments, mixed use, residential, industrial and more.

You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.

This role will provide a good Project Surveyor the opportunity to work on projects across a range of sectors and for good clients plus will offer excellent promotion prospects.

THE CANDIDATE

I am now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor who has around two years or more experience post graduation or who worked throughout your degree and is almost chartered or someone who is recently chartered.

You should have worked on projects across the whole project life cycle.

You will work as part of a their Southampton office on projects mainly in Hampshire but there will be a need sometimes to travel within the U.K.

You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you must have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.

You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts etc.

Ideally you will have worked on a range of commercial and other projects previously and be able to run your own projects with minimum supervision.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.

Salary will be in the region of £29300 to £43950 plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
