Assistant Commercial Property Manager (Client Side)

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking an Assistant Commercial Property Manager to join a Not for Profit organisation in Southampton, on a full or part time basis.

The organisation operate as community development and area regeneration business, that holds a portfolio of investment properties. The portfolio consists of a range of property including business parks, industrial units, leisure and office space, with all income generated used to re-invest in to the business activities of the organisation.

Your new role
Within your role as the Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Team with the day-to-day management of the property portfolio. You will ensure that all properties are being managed in an effective and commercial nature, ensuring all income potential is being maximised.

Specific responsibilities will include;

• Day-to-day management of the property portfolio
• Arranging and conducting viewings
• Managing and collecting rents
• Processing payments and contractor invoicing
• Undertaking property inspections
• Arranging and dealing with any maintenance or repairs
• Issuing new letting and licensing packs
• Marketing of vacant property
• Dealing with day-to-day enquires and general tenant liaison

What you'll need to succeed

• 2 - 3 years property experience in either commercial or residential block management
• Strong knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation
• A clear understanding in the principles of day-to-day property management
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with high levels of customer service delivery
