Job Details

A graduate quantity surveyor, is required by a well-established practice in the City of London. 

About the client:

The firm provides building surveying, cdmc, health & safety, project management and quantity surveying services. They work through care, commercial, education, housing and leisure sectors. Clients range from charities, developers, institutions, public bodies, private companies and domestic clients.

The practice is 25 strong, employing building surveyors, CDM coordinators, project managers and also quantity surveyors.

About the role:

Typical responsibilities will include bills of quantities, contract administration, employer’s agent duties, feasibility studies, project management and quantity surveying. Projects will range from about £2 million to £40 million.

The projects and duties that you will provide are diverse, so the role should keep you engaged. You will be involved in the cost consultancy side of a range of residential & commercial projects, from high-value homes to large-scale developments as Quantity Surveyor, Employer's Agent & Contract Administrator.

About You:

The requirements will be that you have a either a degree or masters within cost management, quantity surveying or an associated degree. You may be part way through your APC but you must be looking to complete it, this is something the business will closely support. 

Ideally, you will have experience in the industry working for a consultancy, should you work for a main contractor or sub-contractor, your application will be well received. You will also need to have very strong numeracy skills and be very much capable of working in a client facing role.
