Asbestos Programme Manager required on an ongoing contract basis by a large public body based in Belfast

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body based in Belfast, to recruit an Asbestos Programme Manager to join their Estates team on an ongoing contract basis.

Your new role
You will work within a team that has responsibility for reviewing the organisations Asbestos Management Surveys in accordance with the relevant processes and procedures to identify the required remediation works and their delivery, to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory undertakings regarding Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012.

You will be tasked with ensuring that a programme of remedial works is identified, prioritised and costed for all the Asbestos Management Surveys already completed.

This work will also extend to remedial actions arising from the Asbestos Management Surveys yet to be completed.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will ideally possess:

A degree or an equivalent 3rd level qualification in an Environmental Management related discipline;
P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings / P407 Managing Asbestos in Premises;
Membership of a relevant professional body.

What you'll get in return
This position offers the opportunity to work with a large public-sector body on an ongoing contract basis. The initial duration is 6 months, but it is anticipated that this will be extended. A competitive rate is available which will be paid to you via Hays on a weekly basis.
