Amida is working with a market leading, independent, private property consultancy in the search for a Project Management Director. Established almost 10 years ago, our client specialises in offering bespoke services to private clients across their residential property interests. The firm offers an unrivalled, time tested, methodology in providing a holistic service to its clients; including finding exceptional properties in prime central London, providing property advisory services and construction project management.

Description of the Role
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will deliver refurbishment projects of varied scale and complexity. Acting as the clients lead advisor and representative, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the project. Typical contract value ranges from £1m to £5m depending on the project specifics and clients wishes.

Responsibilities will include:
* Be very comfortable managing multiple projects with build contract values of between £1m and £5m (from mobilisation through to client handover);
* Experienced in high-end residential refurbishment and an eye for detail and design. An architectural training is very helpful but not imperative;
* Considerable on-site construction experience in high-end residential refurbishment;
* Be confident reviewing third party engagement documentation, fee proposals and PI cover;
* Have experience/awareness of different planning issues, applications and processes;
* Good experience of working with Grade II and Grade II* Listed buildings;
* Able to read technical drawings, technical specifications, construction methods and knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. CDM Regulations, Health & Safety, Building Regulations);
* Experienced in overseeing the preparation, selection, evaluation, negotiation and management of tender packages, contracts and insurance arrangement and be able to manage programmes and cost plans (typically working with an external QS);
* Confident overseeing the QS and managing and controlling project budgets with the clients' objectives at the forefront;
* Experienced in managing main contractors and inputting on management of sub-contractors;
* Experience in managing variations, troubleshooting issues on site and finding effective, practical and cost/time-efficient solutions.

Person Specification
To achieve success in the role, successful candidates must meet the following pre-requisites:
* 6 years minimum PQE;
* Experienced in prime residential projects in London;
* Demonstrable success in engaging with clients throughout the project;
* Experienced in team management;
* Strong IT skills across Microsoft and a valid (clean) driving licence.
