Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £70,000 + Full benefits

Carriera have been retained by a highly successful Cost Management Consultancy to secure a senior quantity surveyor.

The role:

The Practice is one of the true remaining specialists in its field offering specialist and exacting cost advice from inception through the whole building and management lifecycle. They’ve been around for over 15 years and operate within both private and public sectors.

They have three offices in the UK, employing 65 professionals, and the person they are looking to secure is based in the London office. They work with corporate end users, developers, institutions, landed estates and family trusts to provide cost management advice within commercial, leisure, residential and retail sectors.

They are looking to secure a senior quantity surveyors/ cost manager in their offices in London and Surrey to help deliver a strong pipeline of projects and strengthen their Quantity Surveying team. Your main assignment is to work closely with the lead partner where you’ll deliver a diverse portfolio of work by sector and client. You will deputise for the partner in client management, work delegation and mentoring of junior staffs.

In Central London the workload is typically biased to residential, where you will work with high net-worth individuals, developers, funds, institutions and trusts. Typical projects are between £8 million and £75 million.

About you:

To be considered you will have a gained a grounding in the UK Cost Consultancy profession. You will have strong pre-contract experience, strong feasibility and cost planning experience, taking off, tendering works and packages and excellent post contract management. You will have suitable administration skills and also be an ambitious team player.

You will either have a degree or masters in a cost management related subject and ideally be chartered, having a MRICS or any other relevant professional body.
