The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a talented individual with excellent pre and post and contract QS / PM skills, although applications from those who are stronger in either a pre or post contract environment will definitely be considered.
Applicants from either a private practice or Main Contractor background are welcome. A construction related degree would be beneficial but not essential, as suitable experience and ability to carry out the role are the key requirements of this job.
Ideal pre-contract skills:
You should be experienced in preparing construction cost estimates, schedules of work, builder’s quantities, Bills of Quantities and tender documentation generally. You will have a good working knowledge of building contracts and be familiar with using bespoke measurement software e.g. Masterbill, although training will be provided.
Ideal post-contract skills
You should have a minimum of three years’ experience running your own projects from inception to completion including estimating, measurement, tender and contract documentation, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts.
Experience of traditional and design and build contracts is required and you should be fully conversant with providing Employer’s Agent services as well as traditional QS duties.
Candidates should be capable and willing to balance the requirements of running a number of projects with limited supervision and should be focused on delivering the very best service to our clients.
