Principal Planner/Associate (Cotswolds)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal or Associate Town Planner to join an expanding planning consultancy in Gloucestershire.

This is a full-time position and offers the chance to work on an exciting variation of projects. You will be working on a wide portfolio of schemes to include; residential, mixed-use, commercial and environmental projects. Your role will include feasibility work, preparing and submitting planning applications, preparing design and access statements, project managing schemes, attending site visits and pre-application meetings, preparing evidence to support appeals, site promotion work and providing expert planning advice to a range of clients.

The successful candidate will hold a completed RTPI accredited masters degree and will be MRTPI. Ideally your experience will have been gained in a similar consultancy environment but local authority experience will also be considered. You will ideally be working in the South West/Midlands market but relocators will be considered with connections to the area. You should have excellent report writing skills, presentation skills and be confident in client facing situations. You will be working as part of a team but should also be able to work independently to often tight deadlines. You should also have a good understanding of local and regional planning policy and be comfortable running large scale projects and coordinating project teams often to tight deadlines. You should enjoy business development activities and be able to demonstrate how you incorporate business development into your role.
