Job Details

My client, one of the UK'S largest property providers is now recruiting a project manager to join their London team. Their team is expanding, and this is a newly created position to work across several live schemes from inception through to construction, while managing relationships with clients and tenants.

The responsibilities you will include:


  • Leads technical feasibility assessment supported by consultants and working with in house development and asset managers.
  • Appoint and manage external consultant teams
  • Deliver projects safely to time, cost and quality in compliance with applicable legislation and in accordance with Company working procedures and policies.
  • Effectively plan, schedule and risk manage all construction project activities, reporting progress and xxx
  • Maintain appropriate project budgets, working with the in house commercial team to ensure robust appointment of third party activity.
  • Control project change, risks and expenditure throughout the life of a project
  • Report progress in a structured and timely manner, resolving issues that require action by others.
  • Appropriately monitor health & safety across all project activities. Ensure compliance with the CDM Regulations, discharging the role of Client on projects and, if appropriate Principal Designer.

  • The ideal candidate will pose the following:

    • Track record of personally delivering construction project activity to programme and budget
    • Successful leadership and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary design teams.
    • Understanding of commercial construction and engineering services, preferably with design experience.
    • Working knowledge of contracts, statutory approvals and legislation associated with construction and development projects, in particular: planning, building regulations and neighbourly matters.
    • Detailed knowledge of safety legislation and regulations applicable to construction, particularly CDM.
    • Numerate and commercial with strong IT skills particularly in MS Project & Excel.
    • Strong communication skills and capable of motivating project teams
    • Relevant construction project management and/or property related qualification.

    Desirable

    • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) with professional membership such as RICS / APM (Desirable)
    • Integration of projects with wider Asset, Lease and Estate management activity (Desirable)
    • Experience of development and capital investment analysis within a property environment (Desirable)
    • Full Driving Licence (Desirable)
