Assistant Building Surveyor
Oxfordshire based Consultancy are expanding its building surveying service offering in the South Central Region. This has created a vacancy for a talented Assistant Building Surveyor to work closely with one of the partners to develop this area of work and be part of our National Planning, Construction and Development team.
The role will include a wide range of professional duties including work on older listed structures including repair and alterations for clients such as charities, companies and estates. In addition, there will be dilapidations work for tenants and landlords on more modern commercial structures. The role will involve travel to various locations and would be of interest to someone who is keen on business development.
This is a new role and you will be able to assist in establishing a professional building surveying team from the Oxfordshire Office. The ability to communicate and build relationships are key as this is a client facing position.
You will ideally meet most of the following requirements to be considered:
> Building Surveying related degree and approaching qualification or recently qualified
> Contract Administration
> Writing specifications and schedules of work
> Demonstrable experience of working with CAD
> Undertaking inspections including schedules of condition.
> Have a good understanding of construction technology and working knowledge of dilapidations law and practice
> A can do attitude and is enthusiastic to progress
> A full driving licence
