Your new company

A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced MRICS commercial estates surveyor / property manager to join them on a contract basis - initially for a 4 - 6 month period and then to be reviewed. There is also the option of a permanent role at the end of the assignment if both parties are happy.


Your new role

You will be working on a mixed portfolio, of mainly commercial property, carrying out lease renewals, rent reviews, striving to increase revenue from rental income, liaising with third part agents, disposal of assets, holding tenant meetings, providing advice on recovery action/lease enforcement action etc. There will also be committee report writing and consents so local government experience is very important.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have at least 3-5 years within property and will hold a relevant degree level qualification ie real estate management. MRICS is required but my client will consider candidates without this if the right experience is there in exceptional cases. You will be competent with property management systems, have a good knowledge of Property law and will be able to articulate yourself at a high standard. A driving license and car is also required for this role as there is some local travel involved.
