The Cheape family have been the custodians of Strathtyrum since 1782. Today the estate, located on the outskirts of St. Andrews, includes a range of rural and commercial activities including farming, property and the ever popular Balgove Larder.

A unique opportunity has arisen to work alongside the family to assist with responsibility of many aspects of the estate and to help to deliver the family's long term strategic goals. With sustainability at its heart, there is a desire to build upon the successful enterprises together with the ambition to create a series of 'boutique micro-industries' which may include the likes of a dairy, bakery, distillery, brewery, etc. This opportunity is not for the faint-hearted, however for the right person it really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in a fast growing rural business.

Are you an entrepreneurial, highly personable, problem solver who is not afraid to roll your sleeves up and yet is still organised and detail focussed? Do you possess a huge amount of common sense?

Duties will include:

• Budgeting; cashflow modelling, management and reporting.
• Rent reviews, implementation of a preventative maintenance program, and development/refurbishment of a small residential property portfolio.
• Line management of staff.
• Planning, implementing and managing current and future micro-industries that will complement the farming enterprise and Balgove Larder.
• On top of this you may need to drop everything at any point and turn your hand to respond to any number of daily issues which arise in a rural business.
