As part of our continued expansion we are looking for a Project Manager to join our successful Belfast team. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with a real passion for delivering a diverse range of projects.

You will be a core member of the team and will deliver diverse projects with innovative solutions to a broad range of Employers across multiple sectors.

Our team is responsible for managing major project and programme development from feasibility through design, procurement and construction stages with a strong focus on the education and Further Education sectors as well as public sector infrastructure generally.

You will continue to develop a wide range of project management skills and knowledge, working closely with clients, stakeholders and other WYG disciplines to develop and deliver projects under tightly managed timelines. Joining a close-knit PM team, you will be expected to work as part of that team but frequently autonomously in an Employer, Designer and Contractor environment.

Being adaptable and working within collaborative partnerships with both Employer and project teams, you will be tasked with successfully delivering challenging projects and programmes often requiring hard work and going the extra mile to ensure excellence and Employer satisfaction.

About You

You will be from a Project Manager background and have full membership of a recognised professional body or working towards full membership (eg MAPM/ RICS). You will have a recognised Project Management qualification (i.e. APM PMQ).

You will have a proven track record to demonstrate that client’s requirements have been met, that effective professional and technical advice has been offered to programme, budget and the required quality standards. You will have extensive knowledge of working on construction projects with multiple stakeholders and have working knowledge of various forms of construction contracts.

You will be charged with operating within a digital construction environment with data management, collaborative and co-ordinated working and innovation at the core of our services delivery.  

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding Clients briefs
  • Agreeing project objectives
  • Providing independent advice on the management of projects
  • Managing project information within a Common data environment
  • Awareness of procurement options, contract management and the discharge of statutory and third party matters arising from the operation of standard building contracts
  • Programme and procurement management
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Responsibility for capital budgeting, control and cash flow of projects
  • Administering contracts from the NEC3 and NEC4 suite of contracts
  • Making sure the Group’s quality standards are met
  • Using the latest IT to optimise services delivery
  • Accounting, costing and billing.
