Ambitious plans for development

SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER

Up to £49,000

With a commercial property portfolio of 190 premises and an investment budget of some £7m, The Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk offers a wealth of challenge if you’re an ambitious senior property professional.

Geographically, we’re one of the largest districts in England and have a reputation within central government for achieving results. King’s Lynn has sub-regional centre status, with far-reaching projects such as the £120m Nelson Quay redevelopment and the 120-acre Nar Ouse Enterprise Zone site, to the south of the town. This brownfield regeneration scheme is one of the largest in the East of England and has already benefited from significant infrastructure investment.

As our Senior Property Manager, you will have seven people reporting directly to you, who will be looking for leadership inspiration, ambition and drive. You will bring exactly that kind of can-do attitude, as well as the confidence and experience to oversee valuation, property management, repairs, maintenance and agency services.

Giving professional advice to internal client departments, Senior management Team and Councillors and undertaking large scale, complex negotiations for the purchase and disposal of property, you will work towards the development and delivery of our Asset Management Plan while developing our Asset Register and computerised estate management system. The role also carries responsibility for budget management related to our income-generating property assets (excluding car parks), revenue income and repair and maintenance expenditure on the commercial property portfolio.

MRICS qualified, you will have experience of managing a commercial property portfolio, along with a background in facilities management and the acquisition of investment property. An effective communicator, who ideally already has some experience of local government, you will manage your time well, prioritise conflicting work demands effectively and be able to find solutions to complex problems.

If you’re ready to use your initiative and make things happen, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
