Carriera has been retained to secure an Associate Director for a well-established project management, building surveying and development consultancy in Manchester.
About the client and role;
The business was established seven years ago by two well regarded and highly experienced directors, who have a very loyal and exciting client base. Over the years they have built a strong, progressive business that promotes duty of care, innovation, professionalism and above all fun in what they do.
Services that the business provides are within building surveying and project management, where they offer the full array of services through private and local government sectors. They have an enviable client base for a boutique business, that is testament to how the Directors are regarded, these include Blue Chip Companies, Funds, Institutions, Leisure providers, Housing Associations, London Boroughs and Contractors.
You will be responsible for delivering projects within the residential and later living sectors, with projects being valued up to £110 million. You will be tasked with helping to set up an office and a team and establish yourselves as one of the major consultants in the area.
You will be a chartered project manager and will ideally have experience working in the aforementioned sectors. You will have a solid grounding in private practice, focused on project management, contract administration and employers’ agent duties.
You must be articulate and presentable and must be able to work in a collaborative manner with fellow team members.
This opportunity would suit someone who is looking to build a team from the ground up, and is confident taking on large projects and taking responsibility. It will be a refreshing alternative to the large multi discipline practices or corporates and will be recognised and rewarded accordingly.
