Senior/Associate Building Surveyor

Our client a Global Construction and Engineering Consultancy are currently looking for an Associate /Senior Building Surveyor to join their current team based in Leeds.

As a Surveyor you will work on delivering a variety of a wide variety of more complex professional and higher value contract services for public and private clients. Services will be delivered across a number of sectors including Health, Industrial, Education, Commercial, Government, Leisure & Culture.

They are looking appoint a Senior or an Associate BS who ideally have previous experience managing more junior surveyors or leading a team.

Job Duties:

• Lead on individual Building Surveying, Project Management, and Contract Administration commissions.
• Fully involved in or managing others for the production of drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Survey and Report writing for the full range of typical core professional Building Surveying services.
• Construction monitoring and snagging assessments.
• Client development skills to develop business with existing clients and confidence to win new work.
• Prepare fee bids, mentor key team members to do the same and assist other growth managers in business development.
• Continuous improvement to our standards, processes and knowledge to deliver to our core clients.
• Mentoring and developing Assistant Building Surveyors and other team members.
• Key account client management.
• Establish client briefs, appropriate fees, and cost control through to completion.
• Financial, commercial and risk management from project inception through to completion on own projects.
• Conducting a portfolio of fee based activities with our key multi sector client base.

Experience

• Experience in all core Building Surveying work areas especially design and contract administration.
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent client and team interpersonal skills.
• Experience of winning work and building client relationships.
• Ability to work with a number of clients providing core Building Survey services that results in building.

To be considered for this role you will ideally be MRICS or have the relevant level of previous experience gained in a similar role.
