The Role

This role is an open one in the sense that different elements of experience can fit the remit, as the "Building Works Supervisor" you will manage and supervise all building works across the School, setting agreed levels of work, and maintaining quality throughout the process. There are currently a number of projects underway, so the ideal candidate will need to come in and take control of the processes, demonstrating a strong knowledge of construction and building works. This role has a large variety of works to tackle, so needs a well-rounded person with site-management experience to galvanise and organise the projects when they are slipping out of time scales or budget. Experience with projects will help as well, as the contractors need to be fully informed on the design specification, whilst coordinating the works between occupiers and the contractors, maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships and keeping a pro-active attitude throughout the team.

About you

You will have a good all round building knowledge and a basic building knowledge of specification and design with practical experience in the management of building works. A building qualification is favourable, though good working knowledge of a construction environment is what is necessary. You will be an enthusiastic, pro-active problem solver - the role will suit somebody with the energy, attitude and drive to pursue a career in the built environment.

The Client

The Independent School, based on the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire boarder, combines academic excellence with a broad programme of co-curricular activities. Alongside a wealth of heritage and tradition (which is heavily focused on throughout the design and buildings), the school plays a very important role in developing their students towards achieving the pinnacle of success.

The Salary is negotiable based upon experience.
