An established planning consultancy in Manchester is looking to strengthen its team with the addition of an Assistant Planner.

The consultancy handles a varied workload including residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use developments spanning the North West region and beyond. Their client base is well established, and you shall be working on behalf of major retailers, leading house builders and developers as well as Local Authorities.

Based in Manchester city centre you will join a well-balanced team with experienced Planners on hand to assist you in working towards chartered RTPI membership. Typical responsibilities shall include:

• Undertaking research to support projects and colleagues
• Assisting in the preparation, submission and monitoring of applications
• Answering client queries
• Engaging with Local Authorities
• Assisting in the promotion of sites

The ideal Assistant Planner will be able to demonstrate an excellent academic track record and have completed an RTPI accredited Masters. Work experience within the planning sector is desirable but not essential, however, you will be required to have excellent communication skills. There is plenty of support for the Assistant Planner to complete the APC process and your workload will be hands-on.
