Job Details
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
- Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
- Sitting on the regional management group
- Winning new clients
- Managing client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time
- Maintaining effective communication to ensure that all information is available for the successful completion of projects and liaising with other stakeholders to ensure efficient financial control
- Delivering services in an accurate and timely manner
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with stakeholders and clients to form strong working relationships
- Working with internal colleagues to ensure that the delivery of the service is communicated effectively for non-operational purposes such as marketing or internal financial reporting
Requirements:
- BSc in building surveying or equivalent
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- A minimum of five years' post-qualification technical delivery experience
- Experience in analysing delivery performance and the ability to propose new methods of working
- An understanding of internal financial management including forecasting and WIP management
- Experience of managing a team and dealing with sub-consultants Willingness to undertake project management roles and develop associated skills
- Well-developed skills in the areas of design, contract administration and professional surveys
- Strong IT skills (AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- A track record of identifying new clients
- A desire to develop and deliver a wider business development strategy
- Good client-facing and communication skills
- Well-organised, enthusiastic and commercially astute
