Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager required by a public body based in Belfast to oversee a programme of minor works

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large public body based in Belfast, to recruit a Construction Project Manager to oversee a programme of Minor Works. This role is initially offered on a temporary contract basis for a period of 6 months with the possibility of further extension.

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be required to assist in the delivery of the organisations minor works programme from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed cost and time parameters.

This will include:

Providing estimates of cost;
Assisting with the procurement of contractors;
Managing external consultants (design teams);
Authorising payments to contractors;
Contract administration.

Projects could include refurbishments and extensions to the client's physical estate as well as disabled adaptations.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you should satisfy the following essential criteria:

Hold a degree in a building / surveying / construction / architectural discipline with 1 years post qualification experience in the procurement and management of construction projects, OR;

Hold an HNC / HND in a building / surveying / construction / architectural discipline with 3 years post qualification experience in the procurement and management of construction projects.
