Interested in working client side? Have a deep appreciation for historic Buildings? My client is looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the prestigious London estate to manage their planned and reactive maintenance.

The Client

My client is the owner of one of London's most prestigious Residences. The size, complexity and heritage of this prestigious Royal residence will present you with some truly fascinating, and often unique, challenges.

The Role

You will be responsible for the conservation repair and maintenance of the building services in specified areas of the Estate as well as provision, operation and supervision of day to day building maintenance works and projects from the annual planned works program. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a range of works, varying in scope and scale. This will include planning; preparation of specifications, schedules of work, sketch plans and simple working drawing; management of the tender process; appointment of contractors; supervision through to completion, settlement of final accounts.


You will ensure that the building services are regularly tested and inspected and that work is programmed, planned and scheduled accordingly. Working in close liaison with colleagues to oversee works and drive performance to ensure works are completed on time, within budget and to the required specification & quality standards.



You

You will (ideally) be a Chartered Building Surveyor with considerable experience within an environment of occupied spaces. You will be comfortable leading a number of different projects and maintenance works with multiple deadlines across the estate. You will have a working knowledge of statutory compliance and risk, whilst also being aware of cost control and contract management.

  • Computer literate and with strong administrative skills
  • You'll be able to use Microsoft tools and CAD software to deliver your varied workload.

This is a permanent role paying up to £50,000 + 15% pension + exceptional package
