Infrastructure Project Manager

£60,000 - £75,000, permanent

About the role: 

We're looking to appoint an Infrastructure Project Manager to the Horton Heath project team. In support of the Senior Leadership Team working in conjunction with the Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor this role will play an important part of the Infrastructure delivery within the project, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the Infrastructure Procurement Process including main Contracts, Sub Contractors and Suppliers
  • Development of the Infrastructure Contract
  • Contract Administrator as the ‘Project Manager’ under the NEC3 Contract
  • Taking full responsibility and managing on site activities including Utilities procurement and delivery
  • Co-ordination of all infrastructure contractors on site
  • Accurate and timely reporting (H&S, Cost, time, quality, etc.)
  • Assist in the development and management of on-site Health and Safety process and procedure
  • Management of the interface with Local Authorities
  • Assist the Company in discharging its duties under CDM Regulations 2015 (Construction, Design and Management Regulations

About you:

The successful candidate will be a motivated individual holding a degree and / or equivalent professional qualification in an appropriate subject (Engineering, Project Management, PRINCE2 etc.).

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge of development and contracting within a similar role, on projects of similar scale and complexity and will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of NEC3 Contracts, Project Management, Planning and programming, site management.  An understanding and experience of OJEU procurement rules and processes would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with enthusiasm and focus and be an effective negotiator with the ability to manage and motivate more junior members of the team.  They must work well as part of the team as well as the ability to use their own initiative to solve problems.

They will be IT literate with particular expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word and planning software. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to disseminate project information so as to ensure it is understandable to all.
