Permanent Contracts Manager for interior retail fit-out company

An owner operated company who specialise in commercial building projects, building refurbishment, maintenance and shot fitting. A client focused approach to every project has helped them build and maintain a fantastic reputation in the industry.

With an ongoing fit-out and maintenance contract with a major retailer alongside a number of ad-hoc and repeat business they are in an extremely healthy position.

They are currently recruiting for a hands-on Contracts Manager on a permanent basis to replace a long standing predecessor.

Your new role

As Contracts Manager you will hold overall responsibility for up to 5 large, live projects at any one time.

Reporting directly into the Managing Director this is a key role within the company with scope to make a real impact in the business.

Managing on site teams of up to 25 people plus sub contractors a hands on approach is required to work closely with the site foremen. Communication with staff and all project stakeholders will be essential to ensure successful delivery.

Working hours will be 0730 - 1700 but as most projects run outside of business hours an element of flexibility will be expected around this.

Key duties within the role will include:

• Lead responsibility for H & S including tool-box talks
• Planning, management and successful completion of projects
• Material procurement and budget management including client quotations
• Communication with all key stakeholders
• Management of on-site teams

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a proven track record of successful project delivery within a similar environment.

The ability to lead by example and adopt a hands-on approach to management will be essential in this role.

Excellent knowledge and implementation of all H & S, legal documentation and schedule of works must be clearly demonstrated through the recruitment process.
