RICS General Practice Surveyor Asset Management
Estates Surveyor / Asset Management Surveyor
MRICS £300- £350-day rate.
As a chartered MRICS General Practice Surveyor you'll be dealing with a varied individual case load for a Busy Local Authority. With a diverse property portfolio which consists of a range of operational and investment across the commercial, education, public buildings and land. The aim of this contract will be to provide support to the Property team with a focus on negotiations on site acquisitions, disposals and highways schemes, including compulsory purchase and compensation. Undertaking landlord and tenant negotiations including rent reviews, new leases and renewals.
Conversant and competent in services procurement, you will be monitoring budgets and directing capital projects through multi-stakeholder Public Sector environments. Working from inception to project completion to maximise the potential of property assets for redevelopment and regeneration.
Other duties will include property valuations and development appraisals, carrying out day to day estate management duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong track record in the public sector and have a good understanding of complex stakeholder management.
Qualified R.I.C.S. (Chartered Surveyor)
Significant and detailed knowledge and experience of complex asset management practice
Substantial experience of general practice surveying valuation experience
Significant and thorough knowledge of the local government framework and constraints relating to estate management
Knowledge of techniques for the effective delivery of complex technical and property procurement projects and typical problems associated with such projects.
Extensive experience & understanding of project management of capital projects from inception to successful completion .
Creative & enterprising problem solver gained from extensive experience in public and private property sectors
Leader and motivator of professionals, partners and stakeholders to achieve goals of design, budget and timescale.
Relevant experience in a similar role at a senior level in local government or equivalent.
This is initially a 6-month rolling contract. It is inside of IR35 and therefore is Umbrella or PAYE only.
