A well-known construction company specialising in housing, building and infrastructure are currently searching for a new building surveyor to join one of their expanding teams. The business was established decades ago and more recently the company has been responsible for some of the UK's largest construction projects. The company is hugely diverse in terms of employees and projects undertaken. There are numerous offices across the UK providing ample opportunity for internal mobility within the company.
Your new role
As a building surveyor your role will consist of:
- Building maintenance and condition surveys of individual assets and on occasion whole client estates
- Lifecycle maintenance surveys
- Site inspections of building defects and failures
- Managing capital works programmes for clients
- Feasibility studies and options appraisals
- Party wall matters
- Installation of modular classroom buildings across school estates
- General building consultancy
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in the relevant field with appropriate technical skills and influencing skills. Degree level qualification or equivalent is desirable in this role a long with a strong understanding of Health and Safety, Quality Management and CDM regulations. Experience of producing building specifications is also necessary. A building surveyor with experience across public and private sector organisations would be an advantage.
