Property Maintenance Manager / Building Surveyor
The Brocklesby Estate is seeking an organised person to manage and lead the in-house maintenance team, external contractors and small building companies; be responsible to the Owners, Managing Agent and Property Manager. Overseeing the delivery of the repair, maintenance, refurbishment, conservation and preservation of the Estate’s portfolio of properties, including its many historic and architecturally important buildings and heritage assets.
The role also involves the preparation and costing of specifications for building works, budgeting, competitive tendering, the provision of responsible, efficient and cost-effective property management, maintenance and project supervision services, along with the overseeing of works and ultimate supervisor for quality control and timelines.
They will also lead on all health and safety related matters (aided by retained consultant) and CDM compliance within their department. The post carries a high level of responsibility and the successful candidate will be part of a large team. Requiring good leadership and management skills with extensive liaison with other departments, but also able to work unilaterally, taking responsibility for their own actions. Flexible non-bureaucratic attitude. A very interesting and varied role.
