Synopsis:          National and well-respected construction consultancy is looking for a Building Surveyor to work with education and retail clients / projects

Location:         Manchester (M2)

Salary:              £45,000 - £55,000 (car allowance, bonus & BUPA)

About the Building Surveyor opportunity:

This company is a well-known and respected national construction consultancy who offer their clients Building surveying, cost management and project management on construction projects within all market sectors but mainly within commercial, residential, retail, education, and industrial with some local government projects

They are currently looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in central Manchester.  The team covers building surveys, dilapidations, party wall, and project based work and contract admin.  The current projects include education projects and a roll out of national fast food retail outlets.  You will be expected to work with minimal supervision and help manage the team so that the Director can spend more time developing and expanding the client base.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of projects
• Building surveys and reports
• Condition surveys and dilapidations
• Document changes
• Progress reports
• Meeting with designers, developers, and contractors
• Managing construction mangers

The company is a medium to large sized firm with around 200 employees.  They have a fantastic list of clients and interesting projects.  They have all the structures you’d expect to find at a large corporate but the flexibility of a smaller firm.

Skills needed for the Senior Building Surveyor:

·Consultancy background

·Experience of leading projects

·Member of the RICS

·Commercial experience

·Client facing and a good communicator

·Some management experience
