Salary: Grade 8 £33,799 to £37,849 (Bar at £36,876) per annum

You will form part of a team of Building Control professionals and will be responsible for providing a key role in ensuring a high standard of healthy, safe, sustainable and accessible buildings within the City is maintained through compliance with building regulation, dangerous structures, demolition, and safety at places of sport legislation. 

To carry out this role you should be able to demonstrate proficient knowledge and experience of Building Control, with particular emphasis on the scrutiny of designs and inspection of work across the full spectrum of the construction industry. You should be educated to degree level in a Building Control related discipline, which will lead towards corporate membership of an appropriate professional organisation, for example MCABE or MRICS.
