Job Details
The Role
This role requires someone with a strong work ethic and good stakeholder management, you will need to maintain control of the site and processes, set to a standard by the project director. Ideally, you have an understanding of reading specifications, can manage people effectively and have enough to knowledge to communicate clearly and effectively on all levels - from sub-contractor to project director.
This role is an open one in the sense that different elements of experience can fit the remit, as the "Building Works Supervisor" you will manage and supervise all building works across the School, setting agreed levels of work, and maintaining quality throughout the process. There are currently a number of projects underway, so the ideal candidate will need to come in and take control of the processes, demonstrating a strong knowledge of construction and building works.
About you
You will have a good all round building knowledge and a basic building knowledge of specification and design with practical experience in the management of building works. Ideally you will have a qualification in construction or building, though this is not essential. More over, a good understanding of the built enviroment, management of people, specifications and processes is the most important element of this role.
