Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Property Asset Management

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a Surveyor / Senior Surveyor to join the Property Asset Management department of a leading consultancy in Southampton.

The organisation a large real estate consultancy who provide professional services across a range of surveying practices. Their Property Asset Management team are responsible for managing portfolios of property on behalf of a large client base.

Your new role
As a Surveyor or Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for managing multiple mixed commercial property portfolios on behalf of a range of clients. Typical clients will include institutional pension funds, investors, corporate occupiers and government organisations.

Specific responsibilities may include;

• Day-to-day property management of mixed portfolios.
• Reviewing, preparing and managing service charge budgets.
• Managing and collecting rents.
• Undertaking property inspections and attending client meetings.
• Instruct and mange third party property agents and contractors.
• Hold responsibility for property compliance and any legal issues.
• Process and oversee tenant and contractor invoicing.
• Provide regular reports to the clients on portfolio performance.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed with in the role you will need;

• Previous experience in Commercial Property Management.
• Experience and an understanding of lease structuring and service charge.
• Abilities in building client relationships and strong communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and compliance.
• Ideally hold a property related degree.
• Desirably hold a full membership of the RICS (MRICS)
