Roche Diagnostics is offering a two-year global rotational program aimed at building future Facility Management (FM) & Real Estate (RE) leaders. Our goal is to attract and develop top early-in-career talent across a global community covering Facility Management, Workplace Strategy, Real Estate and Fit Out.

Our FM team encompasses multi-disciplinary activities within the built environment and the management of our impact upon people and the workplace. Our responsibility extends to facility performance measurement & driving improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness & sustainability of our built environment through knowledge exchange & establishing best practices​.

Our RE team encompasses the leasing and ownership of the buildings, land and other spaces in which we work. These lease and owned assets are an important platform from which we deliver our services and products. Their suitability, location and adaptability are essential in achieving our business objectives.

As Insights Facility Management & Real Estate Trainee, you will challenge the current structure and highlight optimization potentials, analyse “as-is” situations and develop creative FM & RE strategies and processes, as well as supporting and/or leading FM & RE projects in a number of our global locations.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Support and actively contribute to daily business operations to better understand and familiarize yourself with Roche Diagnostics
  • Analyse the current setup, develop, align and introduce creative strategies and working concepts. You will compare this setup with international industry standards and document gaps and highlight opportunities
  • Take over and drive a site specific and/or international FM & RE project with guidance of FM & RE representatives on site level and/or global facility management support
  • Demonstrate project management skills with a can-do attitude and ability to lead a small team in an international environment

What do you need in your toolbox?

  • University degree preferably related to facility management, real estate, project management, engineering, architecture or related fields
  • 1-3 years experience with operational FM, RE and/or project management
  • Proficiency in English is a requirement and a second language is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to integrate well into different cultures and business settings as a great teammate
  • Global mind-set and high degree of mobility, both during and after the program
  • Self-motivated, with an enthusiastic can do attitude, with the potential and ambition for further development within the organisation
  • Preferably technical background and affinity to data management
