Clerk of the Works

A local authority based in Warwickshire is currently seeking a clerk of the works.

The role will be to support the Housing, Communities and Economic Development department of the council.

The council is looking for a clerk of the works experienced in Construction and to lead the quality process to ensure that every part of the council's new build development programme is completed to the correct standards of workmanship, materials and compliance.

About the role

• Identify and manage potential issues, recommend corrective action (issuing Clerk of the Works' Directions as appropriate) and ensure they are rectified quickly.
• Keep accurate site records, provide weekly site reports, keep a photographic log and attend formal meetings in connection with the project as requested.
• You will contribute to the development of a creative and open environment within the section, where employees feel supported, involved and consulted.
• Assist, within the scope of the post, with the development of effective links with individual customers and customer groups to contribute to the development of effective marketing of services.

Contract

The position will be for an initial 6-month contract and there has already been indication that an extension is possible. The contract will run off a 37-hour week Monday to Friday.
