Salary: £41,526 - £51,034 per annum

The Estates Development Team is at the forefront of delivering high quality and innovative capital developments. We are driven by the desire to create inspirational and award winning environments that enable students and staff alike to excel.

In the coming years, the University of St Andrews will invest c£30m per annum in a programme of strategic capital developments and refurbishments across its estate. As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for two project managers with extensive knowledge and experience of working on large, complex, multi-million pound capital developments to join the Estates Development Team in this unique location where talents are nurtured and initiative is encouraged.

Reporting to the Heads of Development and working closely with the Director of Estates and Project Sponsors; the successful post holder will be responsible for the brief development, guiding the design intent, agreeing quality objectives and articulating the vision and project benefits associated with a range of major capital projects. Managing a portfolio of projects from inception typically through all RIBA Stages to completion you will lead on the procurement of professional consultants, design team and principal contractors.

As a member of the Estates Development Team you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the master planning and strategic development of the wider estate, delivering multiple individual projects.

You will be educated to degree level in a Design/Construction related degree or equivalent with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

In In 2019 the University will establish purpose built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 450 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge. 

This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge.
