Job Details
This role, working on NHBC’s most complex, high value, iconic and technically challenging projects is advertised as a London office based role (with the potential for some flexibility).
Involved right from inception you will liaise with client design teams and provide professional support, carrying out Building Regulations technical assessments and leading the building control function on these highly complex developments. Offering onsite guidance to builders and our own inspection teams, as well as undertaking forensic investigations. Your role will involve climbing ladders, working at height and a full UK driving licence is required.
Building Control Surveyor (Major Projects)
As a Chartered professional (MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB), you should bring substantial construction industry experience and knowledge of Building Control, Building Regulations, BS 9991 and BS9999 relating to complex high rise structures. Awareness of forensic investigations of buildings, defect identification and repair. Proven ability to make pragmatic and value decisions on compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC Standards. Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with established policies and procedures. Knowledge of environmental issues and relevant standards/legislation. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Salary / Benefits you’ll receive as our Building Control Surveyor (Major Projects):
- A basic salary £55,500 - £65,500 depending on experience
- 6% bonus performance related bonus.
