This Director level, client facing role is to lead the Project Management team within the London region.

The Project Management team has approx.150 Project Managers across the UK. We are currently recruiting additional team members to further enhance our team across the UK with a specific need to grow the Project Management business within London.

Project work is wide ranging and diverse and includes clients in both the Public and Private sectors with current projects within the security, energy, commercial, blue light, defence, education and residential sectors.

The role will involve developing new clients specifically in the London commercial sector as well as being the London practice team leader. Reporting to the Head of PM Practice, you will be an active member of the PM Practice Leadership Team.

Your Role

Responsible for all aspects of the Project Management Practice in London, you will proactively contribute to the development of the client base, support and develop a culture of cross-discipline working within the region, develop and maintain business relationships, set and manage client expectations and agree fee schedules and commercial terms.

You will be the regional lead for the PM Practice demonstrating strong leadership and line management capability.

You will have a focus on developing our staff and delivering the highest level of Project Management & Project Management related services to our Clients.  

You will have P&L accountability for the Project Management team based in London as well as ensuring adherence to our governance processes.

You will also develop a ‘business vision’ for the Project Management team in London and will positively contribute to the overall development strategy for the overall PM Practice.

You will also be a work winner as the role will involve developing new clients and winning commissions within the London region or for London based clients.

 

About You

Professionally qualified with relevant industry experience at a senior level and a full Member or Fellow of one of the following professional institutions/associations:

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Association of Project Management

Other Professional Membership will be considered

Experienced in successfully securing and delivering major projects from inception to completion, with the ability to produce commercial bids, write persuasive project proposals and perform effectively at the interview stage of a bid. You will have the ability to manage other professionals and assistants and to collaborate and influence other industry professionals and clients.

An understanding of

  • Business Governance and Operating Procedures
  • Financial management & commercial awareness
  • The regional market with specific experience in the London Commercial sector with pre-existing client relationships established
  • Legislative & regulatory developments

A demonstrable track record of a high standard of technical delivery.

A proven track record in managing and leading professional teams (including coaching, mentoring and leadership to achieve agreed performance objectives) with P&L accountability.

Preferably, a recognised management/leadership training qualification.

You will have the drive, commitment and ambition to succeed in growing the London PM team across our chosen market sectors.
