Project Management Assistant Requirements:

  • Client Management (Basic)
  • Project Assistance (Master)
  • Project Management (basic)

Delivering:

  • Project Planning
  • Resource Planning
  • Project Tool Setup (Jira/Confluence)
  • Folio Setup / Budget Management
  • Reporting & Exec. Communication
  • Quality Control


Project Management Skills

  • Support the Project Team in all aspects of the implementation.
  • Project plan (schedule) setup and ongoing management.
  • Project HR and business expense management.
  • Manage quality assurance.
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Demonstrate excellent risk identification and analysis.
  • Use of key project tools (Jira and Confluence).


Commercial: Client Management / Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Build working relationships with customers, project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Use of the collaborative project tools and your interpersonal skills to act as a communicator and liaison between the Project Team, the client and the whole Group


Personal Qualities

  • Be self-starting and identify & target issues and areas that will maximize project success.
  • Operate autonomously within the requirements set out by your Project Manager.
  • Interact in a professional way according to the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Code of Conduct.


Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • It would be desirable to have some experience of managing mixed client and consultant technical and implementation teams delivering business transformation, change management and technology-based programmes.
  • Experience of working in an asset intensive industry utilising IBM Maximo or other systems.
  • Experience of design and implementation / use of Decision Support Tools / Whole Life Asset Models.
  • Experience of project collaboration tools such as Atlassian's Confluence & Jira.
  • Experience of agile implementation methodology.
  • Project Management or Programme Management experience in former roles.
  • 1 Bachelors degree or equivalent* in an engineering, science, technology or business-related degree.
  • An analytical approach to understanding, describing/modelling and solving real world problems.
  • An ability to follow and where necessary adapt a defined process / methodology with suitable guidance from more experienced colleagues.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, including conveying technical information.
  • Direct Industry / business experience in consulting or related activities.


Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

  • Database experience: Relational and/or Geospatial / Oracle, DB2, SQL.
  • EAM system experience: IBM Maximo or other EAM systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
