Pollution Technical Officer in West London, Up to £25 per hour

This public sector organisation based in West London is currently looking to recruit a Pollution Officer to join their Pollution department within the Safer Communities and Tenancy Management division.

Your new role
As a Pollution Officer you will report to the Planning Enforcement and Environment Manager. You will be responsible for coordinating the logging, filtering and distribution of all requests received for planning consultations from the Planning Services department. You will also contribute towards the Council's obligations to monitor and improve the quality of the environment within the borough.

• Coordinate the logging, filtering and the distribution of requests for planning consultations from Planning Services
• Advise planning colleagues, developers and their environmental consultants on the pollution impacts of proposed developments
• Assist in the management of the Council's air quality monitoring network
• Respond to questions, correspondence and complaints, from members of the public, Councillors, and others.

What you'll need to succeed
Suitable candidates will have strong knowledge of the environmental impact from areas such as dust, exhaust emissions and noise. You will also have a proactive, can do attitude and strong administrative skills. It is essential that you have a relevant professional Environmental Degree/Diploma or professional registration certificate as appropriate.
