Job Details

Technical Coordinator (Architect/Engineer) required to join technical team of privately owned house builder and be holistically responsible for progressing schemes through technical across Architectural and Civil Engineering aspects.

Client Details

Privately owned developer operating across predominantly across East Midlands and Cambridgeshire. They appeal to a range of home owners from first time to second and third time buyers. The technical team has a close knit unit and doesn't separate engineering and architecture in order to move schemes forward comprehensively.

Description

Your main objective is to ensure all technical information from both an Architectural and Engineering perspective on a residential development is both received on time and accurate to construction details, building regulations, section agreements and other regulatory bodies. Example duties include:

  • Assist with the production of layouts and technical reports, and prepare working drawings, details and specifications, with minimum supervision.
  • Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales Departments, and maintain good communication to ensure the required level of service is maintained.

  • Assist with fee negotiation, and the appointment and management of external consultants.

  • Monitor, produce and submit information to discharge planning and building regulation conditions.

  • Prepare Sales and Legal information e.g. Conveyance Plans, Sales Area Layout Drawings and Site Compound Layouts, including POS's, S38, S104 adoption plans and the like.

  • Obtain and check information from external architectural consultants, and suppliers and manufacturers for supplementing working drawings.

  • Profile

    You will ideally have 2-5 years experience either as a civil engineer, architectural technician/technologist in consultancy or within a developer. Enthusiasm is keen and critically they're looking for someone looking to join, be exposed to multiple aspects of technical housebuilding and progress their career.
