Building Control Team Leader

We have an excellent opportunity for a Building Control Team Leader to join our team within Managed Growth.

As the lead officer contact for Building Control services, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery, customer service and provision of advice to our range of customers, stakeholders and elected members.

You will manage a small team of technical professionals and be responsible for leading, training and supporting personal development opportunities; ensuring the team keep up to date with changing technical, legislative and organisational requirements.

We are looking someone who has a real passion for continuous improvement and can create innovative solutions to help us deliver high quality services.

You will:

• Be qualified to degree level in a relevant built environment or associated technical discipline, or degree qualified with demonstrable knowledge and experience of a similar statutory service.
• Have substantial and varied experience of building control and related issues
• Have experience of successfully managing / supervising a team
