We provide a safety net through financial assistance, aiding wellbeing, training/vocational programmes to help people develop their careers in retail and promoting independent living at one of our supported living residential estates. Our cottageHOMES services provide high quality supported living and extra-care accommodation for those retired from service to retail.  

We are seeking to appoint a Property Executive to execute and deliver a sustainable and innovative property strategy through professional and effective leadership, that maximises asset utilisation and supports the strategic objectives of retailTRUST and in particular cottageHOMES.

As a member of the Executive team, you will provide a high level of expertise, advising the CEO and Board of Trustees on all aspects of property management and development. You will also contribute to the overall strategic objectives and achievement, undertaking any tasks, responsibilities or assignments upon request from the CEO of Board of Trustees.

You will be responsible for managing our multi-million pound property capital budget, initiating corrective measures where necessary and preparing reports by collecting, analysing and managing relevant data.

You must be able to demonstrate that you are able to establish effective and positive relationships with key contractors and other external organisations and bodies including property maintenance through proactive oversight, due diligence, strong negotiation and problem prevention. As well as this you will manage the development of an effective network of alliance partners for acquisitions, estate development, maintenance and related legal matters.

You will be responsible for the management of our maintenance function, ensuring that our estates are statutory compliant with regards to health and safety, are sustainable and any efficiency issues are managed and maintained to an appropriate standard.

As our Property Executive, you should be educated to degree level, accredited by RICS or equivalent. You will have experience of executing and implementing strategic planning.

You must have sound business and financial planning and reporting knowledge, including experience of managing and controlling property budgets (especially CAPEX) and all associated resources.  You will have the ability to deliver, manage, publish and report all departmental and personal KPI’s at top level and have the ability to identify and implement departmental improvements to improve service delivery.

The Property Executive will work in a self-directed manner and as part of a team, having the ability to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met. You must also be competent in using Information Technology and Business Information Systems.

We’ll pay in the region of £55,000 per annum and other benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme of up to 9% employer contributions, life assurance of four times your salary and a Health Cash Plan.
