Senior Building Surveyor
Our client is seeking an experienced building surveyor, to help manage a number of key accounts with new and existing clients. Established across 10 office locations and consisting of over 500+ employees, our client has a reputable name in providing tailored solutions within many sectors such as - education, commercial, government, housing, motorsports and many more. The Reading office is comprised of around 60 employees specialising in building surveying, project management, and quantity surveying.
About the role
The role is designed for those wanting responsibility and also a structured career pathway to progress to Director.
This position will be working with a small team of surveyors ranging from graduates to associates, for clients across a diverse portfolio of properties. You will be responsible for providing advice within the commercial and residential sectors within areas such as repair and refurbishments, design and construction and maintenance. You will receive a wide variation within your workload and some of your day-to-day duties will include:
- Building pathology, specification and contract administration, building surveys, technical due diligence and design
- Dealing with claims and negotiations and also providing advice in connection with planning applications.
- Providing advice on the standard of work that has been carried out
- Team management, Client facing.
You must be a driven and ambitious chartered building surveyor, who has relevant experience in the aforementioned sectors. The individual must have successfully gained their chartership through MRICS or a similar professional body and are 2+ yrs PQE. You will possess the necessary skills to advise and mentor the graduates within your team and be competent in a client-facing role.
