Small Works Surveyor - Slough

If you think "international property developer" you probably picture huge skyscrapers, or massive new estates with cranes and machinery and glossy brochures.

This developer does do all of that. It also does the smaller stuff.

Like making sure the smaller existing units they have are being maintained. And when people move out, they would need you to move in, project manage the re-fit from start to finish, handling consultants and contractors, and make sure you get good value from the work too.

It's only the small projects around the Slough area, up to 10,000 sq ft. And you'd do around 3-4 a year. There's also other work around this sort of task, mainly in office or industrial environments. And if you can handle that with no problem, you can start to look at the larger projects they do too. There's a lot of career potential within this company.

Small dilapidations work too - not complex to the point you need to be MRICS chartered.

You will need to be a self-starter and be able to work independantly. You don't necessarily need to be chartered, but you do need to have enough experience as a Building Surveyor or Project Manager to be left to it, and also to know when to ask for help.
