Salary – MB3 - £48,912 - £53,934
Type – Permanent
Hours – Full time (37 hours) – Monday to Friday

The Constabulary is seeking to appoint a Head of Estates & Facilities Management covering County wide properties.
The position will be based at the Constabulary’s Headquarters in Huntingdon where you will be part of the Support Services Department responsible for a wide range of estates and facilities management functions including construction, buildings maintenance, contracts and contractor management, security, Health and Safety, and accommodation planning.
Reporting to the Director of Estates your responsibilities will include managing the capital programme (new build & refurbishment projects), leading on the 5 year planned maintenance programme, ensuring safe & healthy buildings and management of an array of property and service contracts. Carryout building and condition surveys and condition reports to provide forward maintenance planning and budgetary information. You will prepare specifications for capital works, progressing through to completion.
You will have a building surveying background and be experienced in the management an estate portfolio and capital programme. A minimum of MRICS, CIOB or the equivalent, together with at least 5 years’ experience of building construction and maintenance.
You will be experienced in the use of computerised systems (including AutoCAD, Microsoft office and building management) and will need to be an effective communicator with the ability to recognise needs, prioritise workloads and delegate effectively. With the very nature of policing you will also need to be able to manage effectively peaks in workload created by operational need and may be required to respond outside normal working hours.
A full driving licence and personnel transport are required as the post involves some travelling.
